Who am I?

My 2nd Birthday Ninja pool playing more me...

A web app designer and TV game show host from Sydney Australia, affectionately known to some as Tim Lucas. When not giving away millions of dollars worth of white-goods I’m hacking away on some of my own web applications, freelancing with local clients, coding Rails for Job Futures and working with a super-secret VOIP startup here in Sydney.

My tools of the trade include the venerable Ruby on Rails, though I have been seen dabbling with Coldfusion, Cocoa and a variety of other garden tools (both on and off tinterweb).

I like to imagine that in a previous life I was artistic (hence a “web application designer”) and, though I like using pretty things (see: macs) and have a bent for user-centred design, I don’t spend nearly enough time in PS or Illustrator to justify the title.

Some projects I’ve enjoyed working on include Web Connections, several iterations of the Web Directions conference registration system, this site, various bespoke internal systems for Western Civilisation, and several other live projects, which if I told you about I'd have to kill you. No, really… I’d have to kill you (Ask Ninja style).

I spew my presence onto the web at various places, including: flickr (photos from me or photos of me), del.icio.us, working with rails and other unmentionables; but if you want to get in touch with me (email or MSN) my address is t.lucas@thisdomain (amusing photographs and slightly disturbing anecdotes always welcome). Contact forms are so 90’s.
