Bangkok is hottt
April 29, 2006 19:51 (Bangkok Thailand)
I arrived here in Bangkok just over 3 hours ago. I’ve now experienced the gamut of weather of conditions—it’s 7:30pm here and no less than 30°C at 60% humidity.
It’s sad to have left London—especially the goodbye’s to three of my closest friends at Heathrow. I missed meeting up with a few people whilst in London (sorry Anna, Emma and Caitlan!) but managed to see a fair few mates and 4 European cities… so, not bad I reckon.
I’m staying in a dodgy hotel 10 minutes walk from Khao San Rd. This place reminds me a lot of China—filthy and people trying to sell you crap left, right and centre—but it’s definitely much more accessible to Aussies.
Tonight should wild. Gav’s text message, in verbatim:
Meet around 9.15 at gullivers for food and beverages. Big night ahead.

Becareful if Gav drags you to Patpong, we all know what happens there. If you can see the reclining and emerald Buddah’s whilst you are there it is well worth while. See you soon Dog, I am excited!
Penny
Oh timmy, I don’t like the idea of you being corrupted in Bangkok. See you in syd, soon
Gav
Why do you all think I would be corrupting young timmay? The other way round, i assure you. We did have 3 savage nights in Bangkok. The highlight for me was the decision to kick the door down to get into the hotel room next to us to make more room for the party. That dude did not sound happy. Classic. Ryan- we did go to Patpong. But i’ll let tim tell that story. All i’ll say is that i ended up on the stage pole dancing with my arse out. Good times.
Ren
Lies. I can’t imagine Tim corrupting anybody.
