kooee from the batcave
February 28, 2006 00:44 (Sydney Australia)
Just popping out of my batcave for a quick hello.
Last week we all managed to pop out to emads for some yummy lebanese. For those who don’t obsessively check my flickr photos here a a few shots from the night:
Friday night Alaina arrived from Sri Lanka and after showing me her photos has got me completely hooked on wanting to backpack. I’m already concocting the great trip of 2007 which should include either or a combination of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, India and Sri Lanka.
Later that night we hit The Clare and met up with other SXSW goers and WSG members, and came to the realisation that I had, in fact, already met the infamous dreadfuldan.
Unfortunately our favourite pussy-cat-piker was too busy selling her soul to the-man to make it. I tell ya… they better give her a nice xmas bonus this year. Amit has posted his coverage of the event.
Well I’ve certainly covered Rails inside and out these past few weeks. I’ll hopefully be releasing a few of the bits from the workshop as well as some code I’ve been working on for my presentation… and not to mention that 1.1 is coming soon and includes a whole lot of great new swag.
and guess what… it turns out James can cook fancy viennan bread and homemade pizza!
...the tricks you learn overseas eh. I think i’ll definitely be a regular visitor to Bristol whilst I’m in the UK.
