Where’s good European snow in April?

Calling all seasoned travellers!
Do you know of a good place to go snowboarding in Europe sometime in April?
I loved boarding last winter at Thredbo and would love to go again whilst I’m over that side of the world.

Hey Tim, I discovered two sydney-based snowboarders today on Flickr that might know the answer. They are Sam Cole and Chris Davies. Sam’s also got a blog. There might be answers in there somewhere.

Check out Top Ten Spring Skiing Destinations for some great suggestions!

Almost certainly completely unhelpful, but all I can offer is the lyrics to an old Prince song.

St.Anton is good and really easy to get to by train, but April is pretty late. My ex girlfriend did some glacier riding (Zermatt?) I’ll ask her about it.
I’m riding in Japan this year. Best of luck bud.

Thanks all!
haha I’ve got to hear that prince song. Got the MP3 ?
Would love to go to St. Anton but yeah, I know April is late, which is why I didn’t trust myself to find somewhere good. Hrmm…

After seeing antipixel’s recent photos I’m real keen to visit Japan next winter.
Sam: Have you gone riding in Japan before?

You’re gonna have to go fairly far north to find somewhere to ski in April. Try lillehammer maybe?

Tim, i’m sitting beside you and have an extensive Prince collection. Have a look at my iTunes!
Went to see him in 2004 in the Sydney Entertainment Centre. It was the best gig i was ever at. Amazing.

France, Switzerland or Italy, actually anywhere above 2000m with glaciers. I’m doing Val Thorens, Tignes/Val d’Isere or Laax pretty often.
