I thought it time to finally update the who am I section of the site with my latest going-ons. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future I can expand on some of the more mysterious business going-ons that I’m excited about.

Looking into the future of toolmantim.com there’ll be a few changes coming up; guest bloggers (starting in January), showing recent comments, maybe move to Mephisto (though I’ll lose my beloved hand-rolled blog authoring screen with live html & source preview and autosaving), and a new design.

My first few weeks of working for and by myself have gone well… the biggest challenge is self-discipline and keeping to a schedule. Things like late-night Rails meetups put a spanner in the works, especially when trying to avoid late nights and seeing as much of my sweetheart as possible.

I’m off to Melbourne for the first time on Wednesday… I’ll get to scope it out before Carla and I head down there for the Melbourne Big Day Out on Australia Day long weekend. There’s a funkster or two down thataway that’ll show me the ropes… I wanna check out some of those laneway bars.
