This birthday seems to have been about great food and company more than ever before. There hasn’t been a single piece of candy in sight!

Last night Carla whisked me off to Busshari for a romantical and amazing Japanese dinner, and tonight I feasted on grilled salmon with garden salad at Mum’s. Combining the endless feasting with the kitchen gifts from the fam I think I hear the message: I should attempt to do some home cooking instead of spending crazy amounts on tasty treats at cafes around my new pad at Darlinghurst.

With my newly received family recipe book in hand I’ll be sure to post the progress of my adventures in the kitchen. First stop: Saturday’s bday barbecue shindiggery.
